Celebrating the Sistah is an event that serves to recognize the outstanding contribution that African American and women of color have made in the Huntsville While acknowledging there are still obstacles to overcome; women of all ages and background have unique gifts and talents we are recognizing and admiring.

The focus is recognizing women who excel in politics, business, media, social services and education as well as community activism. And women who have been dedicated towards maintaining healthy families, safe communities and educating our children. These women have been a driving force for health, wellness and education becoming priorities for communities of color, thereby, reinforcing preservation, stability, endurance and resiliency.
Celebrating the Sistah honors the women who have and are still making positive contributions to their communities.
